A little packaging guidance

Pet-product packaging made for the real fill

Treats, kibble and powders fill and dispense differently. Try the actual product, then plan the closure, presentation and reviewed label around it.

Record the fill and dispensing method

Record the actual fill, piece size, oiliness and storage conditions. Think about how often the customer opens and recloses the pack and how the product is dispensed.

Test the detail that can change the choice

Treats with irregular shapes may bridge at the opening or fill unevenly. Trial the real product and check the filled standing profile if shelf presentation matters.

Make room for the information

Pet-food labels need their own regulatory review. A human-food label checklist is not a substitute. Include the required content and the room it needs before artwork is finalized.

Choose finished pouches or rollstock

Use finished stand-up or lay-flat pouches when you need packages ready for filling. Use printed rollstock when your packing line forms the package. The standard configurators show documented options; suitability and performance for your particular product still need confirmation.
